The final touches that elevate your print
Soft, velvety feel. No glare.
What is finishing?
Finishing is everything that happens after printing: cutting, folding, laminating, embossing, and more. These processes transform a flat printed sheet into a polished final product.
The right finishing can elevate a simple design from "good" to "you need to feel this card."
Lamination
A thin plastic film bonded to the surface. Adds durability and a distinctive feel.
Matte lamination — soft, velvety feel. Eliminates glare. Colors appear slightly muted but sophisticated. The go-to for luxury business cards and premium packaging. Fingerprint-resistant.
Gloss lamination — mirror-like shine. Makes colors pop and photos look vivid. Eye-catching but shows fingerprints. Great for flyers, menus, and product cards.
Soft-touch lamination — ultra-premium matte with a rubberized, peach-skin texture. The ultimate tactile experience. Subtle and addictive to touch.
Spot UV & foil
Spot UV — a glossy varnish applied to specific areas of your design (usually over matte lamination). Creates a stunning contrast between matte and gloss surfaces. Perfect for highlighting logos, text, or patterns.
Foil stamping — metallic foil pressed into the paper using heat and pressure. Available in gold, silver, rose gold, and custom colors. Catches light beautifully. Used for logos, names, and decorative elements on premium cards and invitations.
Embossing / Debossing — raised (embossing) or sunken (debossing) impressions pressed into the card. Adds a tactile, three-dimensional element that people can feel with their fingers.
Combine for impact
The most impressive business cards combine multiple finishes: matte lamination as the base + spot UV on the logo + foil on the name. Each layer adds a new sensory dimension. Start with matte lamination as your foundation — it's the most versatile base for adding other finishes on top.
